Welcome
Welcome to the Armstrong Atlantic State University School of Computing.
My name is Stephen Jodis, and I serve as the Interim Dean of the School of Computing.
We are located in the suburbs of the beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia. In our halls you will find a highly qualified and dedicated faculty, a friendly and caring staff, and a diverse student body.
In the School of Computing we offer:
- A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science accredited by CAC (The Computing Accreditation Commission) of ABET (The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology),
- A Master of Science in Computer Science,
- A Bachelor of Information Technology,
- A completely online Bachelor of Science in Information Technology,
- And a two-year Engineering Studies Program in collaboration with GTREP (the Georgia Tech Regional Engineering Program) and RETP (the Regent's Engineering Transfer Program).
- Plus a number of Certificates.
Through GTREP, students complete their first two years of an Engineering education and then can transfer to the Georgia Tech-Savannah campus and complete Bachelor degrees in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering without leaving Savannah.
We are proud of our student accomplishments and their work with our faculty. Each fall our programming team competes in the ACM Southeast Regional Programming Competition and throughout the year our students compete in research and project contests on the Armstrong campus and in the Savannah area. It is not uncommon for our students to work with the faculty on projects outside of the classroom that often lead to publications in regional and national conferences.
If you would like to schedule a visit to us, contact Mirna Morrison to arrange an appropriate time and please feel free to review the rest of our School of Computing web pages. Thank you for your interest in our School of Computing and I look forward to seeing you.
Dr. Stephen Jodis,
Interim Dean, School of Computing
